Warren King, 90, of Garrison, Texas, passed away on November 14, 2021, in Garrison, Texas. He was born on December 23, 1930, in Garrison, Texas to the late Reagan and Elsie Arrington King. Graveside will be 3:00 pm, Friday, November 19, 2021, at Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 8:00 am to 10:00 am for Warren King family and friends on Friday, November 19, 2021, at Garrison Funeral Home. And another visitation will be held 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm for Dorothy King family and friends on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Garrison Funeral Home.
Warren Reagan King was born in Garrison, Texas to W.R. King and Elsie Arrington King. He was one of eight children. Clayburn, W.R., Maxine, John, Bob, Joe Ed, and Kay King. He was much loved by his siblings and was a caregiver of the younger children. He grew up in the great depression and learned a dedicated and frugal work ethic. He was a self-made man with help of his first wife Joyce Nall King. They married at sixteen years of age and were happy until her passing in April of 1995. He was a member of the United States Army and reached the rank of Sargent. His focus in the Army was in the southwestern signal corps. This established a job at Western Union and went into cattle ranching and was one of the first people to bring a new breed of cattle to east Texas. This breed is know as the beef master. He remarried after the death of his wife to Dorothy King. They were married until her death in August 2018. He was much loved by his niece, nephews, stepchildren and great nieces and nephews and step grandchildren. His presence will be greatly missed.
