Sherri Banks, 59, of Garrison, Texas passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020, in Garrison, Texas. Born January 24, 1961, in Houston, Texas, to the late Edrie Allen and Anita Gayle (Jackson) Moon. A funeral service will be held at 6PM on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Garrison Funeral Home.
Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 4PM on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Garrison Funeral Home.
Sherri grew up in Houston, Texas. She graduated Scarborough High School. She moved to East Texas in the mid 80s, where she attended school at Angelina College. Sherri kept busy caring for her two sons, Gary and Marshall. She had many hobbies including beekeeping and gardening her roses. She also loved to make beautiful quilts and to crochet. Sherri was bless with four grandchildren that she loved dearly. She enjoyed time spent with family and friends. Sherri worked many years in the transportation department for several school districts and retired from Garrison Independent School District recently when her health failed.
She is survived by her special friend, John Ericson; sons, Gary Banks and wife Hope, and Marshall Banks; brothers, Terry Glenn Moon and Roger Fouse; grandchildren, Sarah Haskins, Conner Banks, Elijah Allen, and Katelyn Allen.
Sherri is preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Gary and Larry Moon.
