Ruby was born on November 17, 1926 in Decatur, Georgia, the daughter of Susie and Paul Shepard. She met and married Travis Curry and together, they raised their beautiful girls. Ruby was a lady of true southern values and stood by her husband during his service to our country in the US Navy. They were able to travel to many places during this time, thus instilling her love of traveling that lasted a lifetime. Her favorite place to visit was Mississippi. Ruby spent many years, after they settled in Garrison, working at the small, hometown bank where she loved being side by side with the folks of Garrison. When she was not at work or traveling, trying her luck at the casino, or playing games during family game night, she could be found watching her beloved Jacksonville Jaguars! However, the happiest place she found herself was when she was surrounded by her loved ones. Her joy was most evident as she settled in and simply watched the grandkids do whatever they found to pass their time. Mrs. Ruby was also a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Garrison.
Mrs. Curry is preceded in death by her husband, Travis Curry and both daughters, Cindy Matson and Marsha Cole.
