Robert Fred Hutson, 90, passed away on November 5, 2020 in Lufkin, TX. Mr. Hutson was born on October 22, 1930 to Lee and Sally (Weatherly) Hutson.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at 2PM at Holly Springs Baptist Church with visitation being held at 1PM. Internment will be at Holly Springs Cemetery.
Robert retired from the Air Force in 1968. During his years of service, he served as an Air Traffic Controller and as a courier on several missions. He spent several years in the Philippines and was a Korean War Veteran. He was an active member of Holly Springs Baptist Church, serving as deacon for many years. Robert was known for his firm handshake and the generosity he showed to all. He was a kind and gentle man who loved well, and he will be greatly missed.
Mr. Hutson is survived by his son, Gregg Hutson and wife, Patricia, of Garrison; Daughters: Juanita Borrell and husband, Robert, of Delphos, KS, Bobbie Hamilton and husband, James, of Austin, TX; brother, Earl Hutson and wife, Carolyn, of Houston, TX; Nine Grandchildren; Twelve Great Grandchildren; Four Great-Great Grandchildren; Numerous nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.
Mr. Hutson is preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Sally Hutson; his son, Noel Hutson; his daughter, Linda Hopkins; granddaughter, Jenna Scott; and brothers, Dan Hutson and Garland Hutson.
