Milburn Wayne Cranford, 83, of Garrison, Texas, passed away on October 9, 2021, in Henderson, Texas. He was born on December 30, 1937, in Garrison, Texas to the late John David and Irene (Byrly) Cranford. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Cold Springs Baptist Church, Garrison, Texas, with Bro. Blackie Cranford officiating.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Garrison Funeral Home, Garrison, Texas.
Milburn “Mert” Cranford grew up in Garrison and was a truck driver for many years.
Mert was a great truck driver and worked hard for his family. He always made sure his family was taken care of and had all they needed. He enjoyed mowing his yard and keeping it looking nice. He loved Sandra’s banana pudding and would request it often. Mert’s family loved him very much and he will be greatly missed.
Milburn is survived by his wife, Barbara Hays Cranford; son, Stephen Cranford; daughters, Sandra Elliott and Meliani Sasuceda and husband, Ana; step-sons, Randy Case and wife, Deniese, Jason Case, and Tommy Phillips and wife, Michelle; grandchildren, Sarah Haley, Haley Miller and husband, Michael, Milshelle Davidson and husband, Kevin, Corey Jimerson, Crystal Case, Kevin Case, Clint Case, Travis Phillips, Caleb Phillips, Jordan Jones, Haley Jones, Megan Arnold, Ashley Cunnings, and Cody Case; great-grandchildren, Kaitlynn Hernandez, Kylie Akridge, Kyndall Gandy, Chelsie Miller, Allie Miller, Colton Miller, Cody Duke, Rose Sonier, Trevor Davidson, Skylar Henson, Spencer Henson, Ava Lynn, Trinity Case, James Case, Emmett Case, Sidnie Graham, and Corbyn Case; great-great-grandchildren, Amaryllis Hernandez, Cody Duke, Jr., Lucas Duke, Charlee Evans, and Marlee Evans.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John David and Irene Cranford.
Serving as pallbearers are: Clint Case, Caleb Phillips, Travis Phillips, Richard Chapman, Johnny Hays, Dickie Hays, and Kevin Case. Honorary pallbearers are: Billy Don Jimerson, Sean Massingill, and Richard Chapman.
