Funeral services for Leta Fae "Teny" Rector, 69, of Garrison will be held at 11:00am on Monday, June 17, 2024 at Mt. Union Free Will Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery in Mt. Enterprise, Tx.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00am on Monday, June 17, 2024 at Mt. Union Free Will Baptist Church.

Leta Fae “Teny” Rector was born the late John and Ruby Gibbs on November 4th, 1954.She was called home by her Lord on June 10th, 2024.  She enjoyed many things in life including, singing with her family, fishing, cooking, sewing, and gathering with family and friends. She married Kenneth Rector on October 23, 1989. They shared almost 35 years of marriage together. She was a valued member of Mount Union Free Will Baptist church in Garrison, TX. She was the piano player, special music singer, deacon wife, dumpling maker, and recently the pastor’s wife. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and especially loved singing about Him.  She spent 29 years as a mail carrier for the Garrison Post Office.  She is preceded in death by her mother and father, John and Ruby Gibbs, and her daughter Shelby Rector.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Rector of Carthage, TX, son, Wade Rector & wife, Heather Rector, sister Debra Hall & husband, James “Buddy” Hall, sister, Peggy Eddins, brother, Johnnie Gibbs & wife, Mary Gibbs, brother Duane Gibbs & wife, Jean Gibbs, grand daughters, Adalee and Abby Rector and host of nieces and nephews who she loved very much.
