Funeral service for Larry Ray McDonald, 56, of Garrison, Texas will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at First Assembly of God Church in Timpson, Texas with Bro. E.J. Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Cold Springs Cemetery, Garrison, Texas.
Mr. McDonald passed away on March 3, 2019 in Garrison, Texas. He was born on June 9, 1962 in Nacogdoches, Texas.
Larry was raised in Garrison, Texas. He worked many years in the trucking industry, and as a logger. Before his health failed Larry would enjoy the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Larry enjoyed spending time with his family. Drinking coffee every morning with his brother, Gayle and his mother, Barbara was a favorite for him. His pride and joy were his nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Larry was an active member and trustee of First Assembly of God Church in Timpson. He loved the Lord and enjoyed serving him.
He is survived by his mother, Barbara Fay McDonald; brother, Norman Gayle McDonald Jr.; sister, June Ann Barclay and husband Floyd; nieces, Cassie Puckett and husband Michael, Brittany Lee and husband Chris, Brooklynn McDonald and fiancé Marty; Kaitlyn Broadway; nephews, Kristopher Stockman, Austin McDonald and wife Kelcie, Trevor Broadway, Tristian McDonald; numerous great nieces and great nephews; and a host of family and friends that will miss him dearly.
Larry is preceded in death by his father, Norman Gayle McDonald Sr.; grandparents, Maude and Ollie Dee McDonald, Faylene Barbee, and Chester Chandler.
