Glynn Stewart Obituary

Graveside services for Glynn Stewart, 84, of Garrison, will be held at 11:30am on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Greenwood Cemetery in Garrison with Bro. Nick Lloyd officiating.

Mr. Stewart passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 in Nacogdoches. He was born on August 30, 1935 in Tioga, Texas.

Glynn was raised in Alvin, Texas. As a young child, he was taught the values of friends and family and a superior work ethic. He spent his lifetime supporting his family. Glynn loved life and as a young man, found a passion for the automobile industry. He spent many years working as a salesman at car lots in Galveston and Shreveport. He met Patricia Curlee in Shreveport, and the two have been married for 32 wonderful years. When they were ready to retire, Glynn wanted to make his way to East Texas. 14 years ago, he and Pat made their home in Garrison. Glynn and Pat found joy in going to the horse races. It was here that they made some of their fondest memories. Glynn also enjoyed coin collecting. He will be remembered most fondly as a dad to his children, and friend to his closest loved ones.

Glynn is survived by his loving wife, Patricia of Garrison; children, Glenda LeBlanc and husband Terry of Livingston and Sharon Evans and husband, Kelly of Elkhart; grandchildren, Tera Sullivan and husband, Dan of New Caney, Amber Janak and husband, Dustin of League City, Nicholas Evans and wife, Elizabeth of Dallas, Krystal Harris and husband, Chris of Austin and Austin Evans and wife, Jenae of Palestine; and 14 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his step-children, Darell Moseley and wife Teresa of Princeton, Louisiana and Connie Pace and husband, Phillip of Monroe, Louisiana; step-grandchildren, Candace Short, Ashley Sanders, Daniel Griffen, Derek Griffen and Nicholas Pace; as well as his precious step-great grandchildren.
