Glendalyn Coats Dotson, 78, of Garrison, Texas passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2020, in Nacogdoches, Texas. Born July 3, 1942, in Garrison, Texas, to the late Earl Clifford Coats and Sallye (Stewart) Coats. Graveside service will be held at 1PM on Friday, August 28, 2020 at Bethel Cemetery in Appleby with Bro. Levi Cohorst officiating.

Glenda was born and raised in Garrison, Texas. She graduated Garrison High School. Glenda enjoyed country and western dancing. She loved the outdoors and every opportunity to go camping. Most of all she enjoyed family gatherings, being able to visit and remanence, and cooking. Glenda was a dedicated, loving, compassionate mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. Although feisty, she had a loving spirit. Glenda treasured each moment she spent with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Edward O’Bryan; sisters, Vivian Lavern Coats Smith, Kathy Hill; grandchildren, Addyson O’Bryan, and Cassady O’Bryan.

Glenda is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Edward Dotson; parents, Earl Clifford Coats and Sallye Stewart Coats; brothers, Herbert Coats, and Earl Coats Jr.
