Funeral services for Eva Marie Carroll, 93, of Garrison, will be held at 11:00 AM, on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Garrison Funeral Home with Bro. Homer Murray officiating. Visitation will be held immediately prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM at Garrison Funeral Home.
Eva was born on April 7, 1932 to Joseph and Lucy Sullivan in Shepard, Texas. Raised in Houston, Texas, she graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School. After graduation, she met and married the love of her life, Bonnie Joe Carroll, and they spent the next 63 years building their family and life together. They loved to travel all over going to antique shows and Canton trade days so they could sell and buy antiques. If they weren’t traveling, they would go camping and so they could enjoy the outdoors.
In 1989, Eva and Bonnie moved to Garrison, Texas and opened “Country Pine” where they built custom pine tables. They were dedicated to making the most beautiful pine tables, she would always say they were “Tables to last a lifetime.” They were open for 12 years when the store closed in 2001.
However, her greatest moments in life came from her family and serving the Lord. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, she brought warmth and strength into the lives she touched. Her happiest moments came when she was surrounded by those she valued the most.
Eva attended different Baptist churches over the years and loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was never short on love for anyone.
She will be remembered for her love, her light-hearted spirit, and the countless memories she created with her family and friends. Her legacy of kindness and resilience will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Eva is survived by her son, Paul Carroll and spouse Amy Weatherly of Pollok, Texas; grandchildren, Andrew Carroll and wife, Sonia and Matthew Carroll and wife Maria; and great-grandchildren, Matthew Jr., Jackson, Hailey and Benjamin Carroll, Soleigh Cisneros, Arreana Cisneros and Andrew “Ace” Carroll; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Lucy Sullivan; husband, Bonnie Joe Carroll; sons, Mickey Joe Carroll and Steven Eugene Carroll.
