Dorothy Louise Allen, 78, of Nacogdoches, Texas passed away Sunday, August 2, 2020, in Garrison, Texas. Born June 10, 1942, in Nacogdoches, Texas, to the late James Curtis Partin and Bertha Mae (Phillips) Partin. Graveside service will be held at 10:00AM on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at Fairview Cemetery, Nacogdoches, Texas, with Bro. Norris Dudley officiating.
Dorothy was raised in Nacogdoches, Texas. She attended Nacogdoches High School and received her GED. She later met the love of her life, Richard Kenneth Allen, through her sister and mutual family friend, and the two were married December 24, 1958. They welcomed 6 wonderful children into the family. The two were married over 50 years before his passing in February 2009. They spent many wonderful years together making memories with their family and friends. Dorothy enjoyed crocheting and reading. She also loved her soap operas, old western movies, and watching hallmark movies. Her most precious time was the time she spent watching and playing with her grandchildren. Dorothy is a member of Stallings Drive Baptist Church and attended as her health allowed.
She is survived by her sons, Richard Kenneth Allen Jr. and wife Vicky, Robert Curtis Allen and wife Jeanine, John Randall Allen and wife Dena; daughters; Julie Christian and husband Paul, Madalyn Brogan and husband Zachary; sister, Rosa Mae Jernigan; 18 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends that will miss her dearly.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Kenneth Allen; daughter, Jacqueline Maureen Browning; parents, James Curtis Partin and Bertha Mae Partin; and sister, Barbara Ann Vardeman.
