Danny Ray Durant, Jr. passed away Friday, September, 24, 2021 in Nacogdoches, Texas. Danny was born April 5, 1971 in Hemphill, Texas to Danny Durant, Sr. and Carlie Durant. Funeral services will be 1 pm Tuesday, September, 28, 2021 at Garrison Funeral Home with Brother Ennis Fuller officating. Interment will follow at Cold Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm Monday, September, 27, 2021 at Garrison Funeral Home.
Danny lived in Cushing, Texas with his mom, Carlie. He was well known in the community. Once you met him, you were instantly friends with him. Family time was the best time. Danny loved time with his family, especially his daughter and granddaughter. He was such a jokester and had an amazing sense of humor. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Danny enjoyed running dogs, camping and riding bicycles. Bubba was known for his willing hand and big heart. He was always willing to help anyone who needed it. He would drop what he was doing just to be there. Danny enjoyed cutting a rug with his mom and sisters any chance he got. He was a true believer and follower of the Lord. Danny will be missed by all who knew him.
Danny is survived by his mother, Carlie Durant of Cushing, Texas; daughter, Kattie Durant and granddaughter, Katelinn Nowman of Etoile, Texas; sisters, Sherry Cranford and husband, Jeff of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Dorthy (Sissy) Colle and husband, Ricky of Garrison, Texas; nephews, Richard Evans, John Smith, Dalton Colle, Austin Colle; nieces, Kathy Brookshire and husband, Clint, Shanna Whitton and husband, Trent, Breann Bush and husband, Brady; great-nephew, Thomas Lane Bush; great-nieces, Rhylee Amanda Evans, Amanda Breann Whitton, and Abigail Rayne Whitton; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Danny is preceded in death by his father, Danny Durant, Sr.; maternal and paternal grandparents; and nephew, Richard Colle.
Serving as pallbearers are: Richard Evans, John Smith, Dalton Colle, Austin Colle, Trent Whitton, and Brady Bush. Honorary pallbearers are: Richard Hughes, Tommy Hughes, and Clint Brookshire.
