Charles Lafatte Boyter

Charles Boyter, 85, of Joaquin, Texas passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2020, in Garrison, Texas. Born July 5, 1935, in Vivian, Louisiana, to the late Ruben Lafatte and Mary (Hendricks) Boyter.

Charles was raised in Bossier City, Louisiana. He married the love of his life, Margaret Jackson, on May 31, 1957. The two spent over 63 wonderful years together. They raised four wonderful children. Charles was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing whenever he had the chance. He loved his family, and especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He enjoyed every moment spent with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Boyter; sons, Charles Boyter Jr. and wife Janet, Jimmy Boyter and wife Denise, David Boyter; 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends that will miss him dearly.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Ruben and Mary Boyter; daughter, Karen Mertz; and brothers, Kenneth Ray Boyter and William Paul Boyter.
