Anita Moon Obituary

Anita Jackson Moon, 86, of Garrison, Texas passed away Sunday January 12, 2020, in Garrison, Texas. Born October 15, 1933, in Thornton, Texas, to the late Olan Jackson and Tabitha Marsh Jackson. Graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Woodlawn Memory of Gardens Cemetery in Houston, Texas.

Visitation will be held from 6 PM to 8 PM on January 15, 2020 at Garrison Funeral Home.

Anita was raised in the Heights District in Houston, Texas. She was one of four children. She attended Ragan High School. Later she met the love of her life, Edrie Allen Moon, and the two were married February 11, 1951 and spent over 48 years together before his passing in 1999. She enjoyed casino gaming, and loved to travel in the RV. Anita was of Church of Christ faith.

She is survived by her son, Terry Glen Moon; daughter, Sherri Moon Banks; grandchildren, Gary B. Banks and wife Hope; Marshall B. Banks; Lauren Rose Moon Alberthal and husband Michael; Joshua Moon and wife Lauren; Tabitha Lucille Moon Ruiz and husband Randy; Justin Moon; Shelby Gail Moon; stepson, Roger Fouse and wife Linda; numerous great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; sister in laws, Kay Jackson, Gussey Jackson; and a host of family and friends that will miss her dearly.

Anita is preceded in death by her loving husband, Edrie Allen Moon; sons, Gary Lynn Moon, Larry Lewis Moon; brothers, Barnett Jackson, Glen Jackson; sisters and brother in laws, Betty Froehner and Henry Froehner, Glyndolyn Bammel and Cornelius A. Bammel.
